Formerly the VP of Operations for American Flexible Products, Carla Wing has been with AFP for over 22 years and was appointed to CEO by the board of directors in May of 2016.
Carla has joined an increasing number of women in leadership roles in American companies, but she is a rarity in manufacturing where only 6% of CEOs are women. Women currently make up 30% of the manufacturing labor force in the U.S.
Carla is a Minnesota native, growing up in Thief River Falls, five hours northwest of the Twin Cities.
