Electrical Insulators
Electricity is used all day, every day in nearly every room we enter. While it’s a huge benefit in day-to-day living, exposed electricity can easily cause damage to nearby devices, equipment and even people. This is why everything that uses electricity has some form of electrical insulation.
Design and Manufacturing
Our material techs cut and shape your electrical insulators to help avoid burning, melting and malfunction in your products.
Need a hand deciding the right type of insulation? We can help you choose a material that fits your design specs and your part’s surrounding environment.
Dielectric paper and film are used in appliances, light fixtures and whenever non-conducting materials are needed to prevent arcing. We also use:
- Formex®
- Fishpaper
- Kapton® Film
- Mylar® Film
- Nomex®
- Polycarbonate
- Polyimide Film
- Statex®
- Vegetable Fiber
- CeQuin™
- FRB
- ThermaVolt
Thermal Insulators
Can’t stand the heat? Redirect it. Thermal insulators reflect heat generated from electronics and moving machinery parts. Insulation helps prevent this escaped heat from damaging and injuring nearby objects and people.
Since heat is easily generated, thermal insulators are used nearly everywhere—from industrial equipment and electronics to transportation and buildings. We use several types of materials for insulation:
- Gap Pad®
-
Foils
-
Films
- Foam
- Pyropel®
- Sil Pad®
